As part of the program of contacts with the Ministers in charge of fisheries of the SRFC member states, the Permanent Secretary of the Sub-Regional Fisheries Commission (SRFC), Dr Khallahi Brahim, met the Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Mrs Princess DUGBA, of Sierra Leone.
The Permanent Secretary presented the SRFC and the broad lines of its action plan, as well as the vision it intends to implement during its mandate.
The audience, which took place in the presence of the Ministry's staff, was an opportunity to discuss common issues relating to fishing in the sub-region, as well as opportunities for developing cooperation.
Minister Princess DUGBA reiterated Sierre Leone's commitment to support the SRFC in its search for solutions, and to do its utmost to assist the Commission in its mission, with particular emphasis on the fight against IUU fishing.
